About the studio

The studio is a room in Vanak with a Yamaha C3 and a second upright for duets, a kettle, and no waiting room — lessons are one to one or in small groups of up to six, and nobody sits outside listening.

I opened it in 2017 after eight years teaching at a music institute, because I wanted to teach adults on their own terms: pieces they chose, a pace set by their week rather than by a syllabus, and honest feedback. Online lessons began in 2020 and stayed, since half my students are now outside Iran.

Group courses run in terms of six to twelve weeks and are listed on the Courses page. Private lessons are booked from my free hours — the week is on the front page — and a first thirty-minute lesson is free, so we can both decide.
